Bird Brain Candle Co. is a candle and fragrance brand built around, you guessed it: BIRDS. Each scent is matched to a specific bird and is made with ingredients we feel good about.

Our candles are made with coconut soy wax, phthalate-free fragrance oils, and no paraffin. The ingredients we use are vegan and cruelty-free, because we know it matters to you and especially to the birds outside your window. We make sure that you have a clean burn every time.

We believe that spending time noticing birds has a genuinely positive effect on mood and well-being. It's one of the easier hobbies to pick up, and you don't need much to get started. Just you and your Bird Brain.

What is a clean burn?

Phthtalate- Free Fragrances

Phthalates are synthetic chemicals that help fragrance last longer and bind better to the wax, so they're cheap and effective, which is why most candle brands use them. They're also endocrine disruptors, meaning they can mess with hormones in people and animals. We always use phthalate-free fragrance oils.

Don't worry, the scent still holds up.

No Paraffin

Paraffin is a petroleum byproduct, which makes it inexpensive and easy to work with. It's in the majority of candles on the market. When it burns it can release VOCs (volatile organic compounds) into the air in your home. Not great for you, not great for anything else breathing that air either. We use coconut soy wax instead.

Cleaner burn and it works just as well.

Vegan & Cruelty Free

There are many candle ingredients, such as certain waxes and some fragrance additives, are animal-derived or animal-tested, and not always in ways that are super obvious. We've made sure that both our coconut soy wax and fragrance oils are vegan and cruelty-free.
